Opinion Needed Regarding Block

Actually because I am new at quilting I first thought to make a basic rail fence block, than I changed my mind and instead made a basic 9 patch block attached here. However as y'all know by this thread I started I made a different design as shown above. Sorry this sample one isn't ironed. I had it put in a zipply bag with cut fabric to do 25 of these but changed my mind to do the butterfly one instead. I still will use the rest of those fabrics in some fashion and use them in a quilt somehow.
Although I have ideas to create 3 or 4 more designs so far I like this butterfly one and most likely what I'll run with for the Swap.
I prefer applique than I do piecing but I am starting to like pieceing some.

I wouldn't be surprised if your block is the standout in the whole batch.
As for your piecing, aside from the ironing ;-) , it looks great - all the pieces are aligning perfectly.
Just watch the 1/4" seam line. There is a tendency to wander at the beginning and the ends of the seam line (I can see your stitch holes). If I'm not concentrating, I do it also.
