I agree with Tartan. The fabrics you choose to go with it can determine whether it is a boy's or a girl's quilt.

Can't wait to see it. I love the fabric and love that the colors are so vibrant. They say bright colors are best for babies, don't remember why.

I think it's a perfect fabric for both boys and girls. If you pick up the other colors the pinks will not dominate and the quilt could be used for either sex.

I hope the colors are okay for a boy, because I just bought some fabric with the same colors for my grandson who will make his arrival in August..I just planned to use a blue border...post yours when you finish!!

Exactly what I was thinking! Really cute fabric but in my family it wouldn't fly for a boy. All depends on the parents.

Go for it- it's great fabric, and not girly despite some touches of pink.

I took a poll here. The consensus was that it was a gorgeous print but sure had a lot of pink and purple. DH felt you should maybe ask the parents. I find this is often the problem with a lot of cute prints like that, bugs and novelty, way too much pink, purple and florals. I would probably save it for a little girl quilt.

I think it would be fine. I've made baby quilts for three GS and two of them have colors like pink or lavender mixed in the fabric. They are fine!

Orange, yellow and blue would look great for a boy.
