    Default Opinions on latest software?

I really enjoy paper piecing, but so far have only used patterns created by others. I would like to create my own and am looking at software. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on Electric Quilt 8 vs Quilt-Pro 6 for creating foundation patterns? I plan to use vacation photos to create landscapes, and also pics of pets. I guess I'm interested in ease of use to make complicated patterns.

This is the first I've heard of Quilt-Pro 6. I'm curious to see how many people have purchased both programs, considering the expense of both.

I think these are both the very latest releases. EQ7 is now discontinued.

I don't think you'll find many people who have Quilt-Pro 6 and EQ8 and who also paper piece. In general, I would guess you will find more information and support available for paper piecing with EQ8 simply because Electric Quilt has been a much more popular software than Quilt-Pro for many years. Which one would be easier to use, I don't know. I have QP-6 and EQ7 but don't paper piece, so have no idea which one might be easier to use for that purpose.

I found this Youtube video that shows how to draw a witch's hat in EQ7 for paper piecing. It should give you some idea of how EQ8 works for this purpose. Here is the link:
