Opinions needed about Accuquilt, please?

I have the Accuquilt Go and when I first started using it I did waste fabric because I waan't savvy on the placement of fabric to get the most bang for my buck. Now, I use it and have the same waste as when I rotary cut. I LOVE it because I can always rely on accurately cut pieces in a quick fashion.

Here it is again.
I would use the Accuquilt sometimes but don't want to invest in one. The cost keeps adding up.
I absolutely LOVE my Alto's QuiltCut2!!! I can do so much with it, it stores nicely, and is easily portable.
If I want a special template I go to a local plastic company and they will cut whatever I want our of the 1/4" acryllic and that costs a whole lot less than the accuquilt!
I also have the something I bought many years ago after seeing it on Alex Anderson. It was by a Mr. Quilt and called a Third Hand. There was a clamp that came down on the center of a revolving rotary mat that held the templates in place while I am still able to rotate the mat to access all sides of the template. Really neat. Still in use.

I don't believe you waste much fabric if you cut your strips to 1/4 inch bigger than the strips on the die.You waste that much fabric to straighten out fabric after so many cuts and it is definetly faster.I recently cut all the strips for a king size triple irish chain except for the plaid the lady wanted, those had to be cut by hand to keep plaid stright.

That's sad all you and some other members only zeroed in on some fabric waste and dismissing the potential of the product, the innovation, the fun. :? :? :?

You can use an adpater with the Studio so that you can use dies from other cutters. I believe the adapter is 25.00 http://www.thriftyideastoday.com/201...lt-studio.html
