I like it either way, but if you use sashing, use one of the colors and the bright ones would be in keeping with the festive nature of the quilt. I would love to own it. Good job.

I like them with the sashing. It gives the eye a place to rest, since they are wonderfully active blocks.

I think sashing would really set the blocks off and I like the idea of a dark color sashing with such vivid, pretty colors.

I agree! Sashing is needed but not nessasarily white. I would choose one of the colors in your blocks and use that. It should be a solid, perhaps a blue or green. IMO

I agree with Nanaquilts44. A much as I like the vivid colors. I need the separation so I can actually focus on the individual blocks and not get lost in the swirl of colors. Have you considered a yellow sashing?

I would definitely sash. Only I would use narrow sashing like maybe a strip of either black or white and cut the strips one and one half inches wide so it would be only one inch or one and one fourth with it ending up at three fourths inch. It will separate the blocks so you can enjoy each block on it's own and yet not be so white or black to detract from the beauty of the block. If you lay it out and stand back I think you'll see how nice that it can be.

Yes, I agree. There is nowhere for the eye to rest.
