I have file cabinets under my cutting tables to store my smaller fabrics in. Have done that for several years. I just ruler folded mine and lined them up in the drawers. Here are some old pics I found to show what I have done.

the green fabric

never thought of that, but used the same concept for my magazines---just open them at the center and and hang them over the file folder---can see the front cover and can browse through much quicker. Plus they are put away and kept dust free.

Did you decoupage the pictures to the front of the file cabinet? I think this idea is brilliant. So creative. thank your sister.

And I have a file cabinet I can use and the file folders. Did you prime the cabinet before painting? brush, roller, or spray?
