Ott light alternative.

Ott light alternative.
I bought a LED clamp light from Lowes several months ago (actually bought 3 total.) Lowes had them on clearance for $15.00. They are a great alternative to the more expensive Ott lights. I have 1 by my cutting table that I can move over to the sewing machine when I need extra light, 1 by my chair for hand sewing (especially good when hand sewing a dark binding to a dark backing) and 1 by my bed for reading. I found a similar light on Ikea's website (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80169636/) I think I could use an extra in my sewing area as I really like the bright lighting on detailed work.

I bought one at either Lowes or Menards and paid $19 on sale. It is the floor model with the adjustable neck. I have it over my sewing table but wish I had it over my cutting table. I love it and am kicking myself for not getting a couple more at that price!

I like halogen lights myself. They can get very hot but do give off a brilliant, white light. Have one by my chair in the LR for hand sewing; one in my sewing room that I can use wherever needed, and have them in my kitchen as under cabinet lighting. Now if those would only help me cook better meals!
