I was lucky enough to buy one from someone used and I just love it. It only cost me $25 and looks like new. The person I got it from didn't like using it ,which i'm glad she didn't or I wouldn't have one LOL!!

Definitely! I love them and have 4 that I use all the time. Buy one or a couple, you won't regret it.

I lucked out on an on line special and got the standing and table ott lite for a fantastic price. I love them both. One is by my machine andone by the couch. Had wanted one but never had enough extra money to get it. this one day special was a god send for me. they are worth it.

I have 2 floor Ott lamps. One by my chair for hand applique and one over my quilt frame. I love them.

I love all 4 of mine! One over my cutting table, one on my sewing machine, one at my livingroom chair and the last one I use because it also magnifies and I can see to thread my sewing needles again. I got all of mine from Joanns with 50% off coupons or gift certificates.

I have one, best light I own, want more... I work at Joann but another wasn't in the budget this year as I bought a new machine and Software, both of which were very expensive....

I tried out the ott lights, a bought a desk lamp and a free floor lamp at joannes. But they didn't illuminate the work space. I need something that can illuminate a sewing room at nighttime, during the day it's just fine. I thought of track lighting above my work, but what wattage. Could someone enlighten me (te he!)

This intrigued me. I have long wanted an Ott light (or similar) but have been hesitant as there is a difference in opinion between price versus value. So now based on BellaBoo's post, I'm thinking I can save money by simply buying a few Ott light bulbs and putting them into my existing, regular floor lamp. Seems almost like a too easy, and inexpensive, way to get an Ott light. So am I missing something, or will this work?
