There is sooo much to see and do. You will need about $500.00 spending money if you plan to buy fabric. Don't foget to drive about 30 miles east to 'Land Between the Lakes' there is a fabulous restaurant called Patti's there (with lots of little shops). Start Packing!!!

I made DH drive hundreds of miles out of our way to get to Paducah. It was soooo worth it. Can't see what the decision is.

Go girl go! I have driven from So. Georgia to Paducah....The mountains of N. Carolina and Tennessee at this time of year will be wonderful. Get in the slow lane and enjoy!
Exit 4 in Tennessee above Nashville just before the Kentucky line....has a great discount fabric store....worth the stop...it's in a purple building.
Go to Hancocks and only buy from the sale tables....then just look....great bakery downtown.....loads of vintage stores....lots of eye candy.
I've traveled many times with my hubby when the company was paying for the hotels....it's helped keep our marriage continue to be wonderful (44 years so far)....
Go girl go!!!

A week in Paducah, I would not give it a second thought especially if your husband would like you to go. The drive is the toughest obstacle, you make the drive during daylight hours, and put some good music on and before you know it you will be there. You will be happy you went once you get there.

This is not a question that you should be asking, just go and don't forget to stop at Carol Bayer Fallert's studio.
