    I say go also!

But, I have a question...I thought Paducah was only "quilty busy" during the one week everyone goes there in April. This is a "quilty" place all year round? If so, that is my next journey :)

Can your husband car pool to this? If so then you can drive in the next day and come back home together. Or could he fly in? Is it possible that a couple quilt friends would like to go, get a room, and you gals could play during the day? You would still have evenings with hubby and they could do whatever in the evenings. Split car expense with your friends and it would make the trip even more reasonable. I'd sure find a way to try to make the trip.

Having heard so much about Paducah, if I had this kind of opportunity, I'd definitely go. My day will come - just not sure when.

Yes, go. I lived in Paducah for 11 years.

If you do go, make sure you stop in at English's Sew & Vac. You'll make some wonderful friends. They might even have a class you can take while you're there. I've not lived in Paducah for 8 years now but still buy all my machines and supplies from them. There's another reason to go.

Go to Grand Rivers and eat at Patty's. It's a really neat restaurant. The girls dress in old time long dresses. The pork chops are amazing. They have other little shops in Grand Rivers that you'd love.

Paducah has really grown since we moved there in 92. You could always visit Hancock's there. Now that might get you in trouble. Not sure if they still have the evening concerts outside on the weekends or not.

If you like to gamble, Metropolis is right across the river and they have Riverboat gambling.

Go, don't miss out on the opportunity.

well first go to the library and rent a couple of audio's. Now you have company for the 550 mile journey. Don't think any more, start packing!! Have fun! Wish I could meet you there!!
