Trouble sounds like way more fun! Take the opportunity, who knows when it will come around again.

Go for it girl!! Enjoy, have fun, and let us know how you made out when you get back home. I'm sure your husband would love to have you with him. Life is to short to ponder if you should go or stay home.

I have the opportunity to go to Paducah to do nothing but play for a week and I'm trying to talk myself out of it or into it. Hubby is going there to work all week so his company pays for the hotel. However, I can't go with him today for a number of reasons, which means that I will have to drive the 550 miles alone tomorrow and back on Sunday.
Some of my reasons not to go...
Very long drive alone
It's sin city for quilters, right? I could get in serious trouble there??
I'm just getting over a flu bug
there's much to do here

Some of my reasons to go...
I've wanted to go to Paducah for a long time
Temptations there - can I stay out of (quilter) trouble (mostly!!)
spending some time with hubby
I could sit and sew at Quilt in a Day on a great machine for the day for $5!

Ok...now you can help me either get in trouble or stay out of trouble! :-)
Can you fly into a nearby airport and rent a car? It will take you one whole day to drive each way. I vote for saving a few $$ and going at another time when you can both go together and make it a more pleasant drive and a "vacation date".

I vote for you to go and you can spend time with your dh and also get into quilting trouble. I am sure that you deserve a restful trip. Go for it. Have a great time.

The drive would be the only reason I might not go but the fact the I could be with my husband AND attend the quilt show might make me go. I would find it hard to drive that far by myself unless you have a friend that might want to go. I would go with you if I lived near by.

Is this your first time? Will it be the only chance for you? Ask yourself how you will feel in a month or a year if you DON'T go! If you need to go alone (why can't you go with your DH?), perhaps take a train or bus and a good book, then come back with hubby?
