Now that you have the handles on the back of the machine, do you hand baste the quilt top and sides or what to keep it lined up?

I am going to do my first one and have been watching the videos, but don't seem to get that question answered.

The Gammill that I rent has plastic the length of the table and the panto slips under it. Then we use masking tape to mark the beginning and the end of the pattern. Works great.

I bought some of the matt template sheets. They work great. They hold the panto down and don't glare when using the laser light.

My quilting room is small so I have to squeeze myself around the machine so I don't quilt from the back. I line the panto up on the front roller and pin it in place. Yes, I have to line it up each time I start a new row but I can do it fast as I measure with a ruler and figure my start and stop measurements beforehand. It works great for me.
