OK. Here's one: http://www.incolororder.com/2012/04/...g-block-7.html
I used google images which lead to one blog and then to this one. The woman (Muriel) said that she found this block challenging and that the pattern was free. Be sure to post a picture.

Here is a website to check out if you want challenging!

I don't know the lady at all, just stumbled upon her site in my own search for pp patterns. Check out the birds, even the flowers, they are stunning!

Show us what you come up with

There are some here, the ones without the padlocks ae free.

Have a look at the dancing ribbons one, about 1/2 way down the page, it finishes at around 12" it's got lots of tiny pieces LOL. http://www.americanquilter.com/publi...=152&offset=90
I was going to do that but I have ended up doing a paper pieced snails trail block (3" finished) with the storm at sea sashing (1" x 3 " finished) and 1"cornerstones. Call me crazy but I wanted to make a mini quilt to enter in my local show.

Carol Doak has a new book of mini (3") blocks out- some of them have quite a few pieces...i made a 3" star block this morning with 36 pieces but there are some with more than that...to me the tiny pieces are more challenging than the number of pieces- maybe because so many of those (50 stars) blocks had over 120 pieces in a 12" square. the name of the book is..."50 Little Paper Pieced Blocks" by Carol Doak.
here's the 2 stars i made this morning- had these big plans for incorporate them into a border...but ...only made these 2 then moved on to other things...

also google Liz Schwartz and Stephen Seifert. They were the couple who published The Foundation Piecer. Also, while you're googling, type in paper piecing or foundation piecing for tons of sites and ideas.
