A circle or a octagon. I would consider an ocogon in order to continue the straight line theme. Try some sample shapes before you appliqué the shape on.

Your block came out beautifully, colors and fabric excellent choices. I would definitely put something over the center of the block.

or you could unsew the middle and do what pennif did in her correction & make 8 seams into 4.

I hand basted some troublesome seams and that helped a lot when I sewed them by machine. I would rip that center seam and hand baste it to see if that helps.

You have made the outside border come together so well, I wonder if the pattern itself was the cause of the mismatch.

Love it! Looks like the circle was suppose to be there all along.

You did a good job getting this block done. I saw the first post and I bet you thought it would never be finished so well.

The pattern you chose to PP is not the easiest and you did good.

Take a minute and audition a circle of a few different colors, in the center and see what you like. I might try black.

It is going to be fabulous when done.

Looking through " What's New" and found this idea. Take a look. It may help with the center bulk in your block. I think it is a great idea. I will use this in the future.

I would definitely cover it with a red circle. But don't give up on this block, try it again with you have more time to play around with the points. Please don't let it get the best of you.
