too pricey for my budget Iwent to lowes and in the hardwaredept purchased a 20 foot roll of rolled insulation for $2.79 cent cut into half inch pieces (200 of them) and still have over half of the roll left. Works great.

I use the "cork" out of my Chardonnay bottles. One cork will yield about 8 pieces. I use a sharp knife, cut cork in half from top to bottom, and then cut each half in 4 sections. Girls if you drink wi e this is a win/win! If you don't drink wine

I bought a pkg. of them and they are much easier on arthritic fingers than unfastening safety pins. One pkg. isn't enough to do a larger quilt. I was at Dollar Tree and they had foam "counting blocks" that they use in preschool. I cut them into small pieces with scissors (not my quilting scissors. lol) I got 8 from each block. I actually like them better than the Pinmoors because it is easier to get the pins into them. Much less expensive too.

This is what I did and It works great for WAY less money about five bucks for a big container of ear plugs and you only need one

I tried them once and have never been stuck with pins more in my life. Maybe I wasn't putting them on right, but I gave them away.

I bought a garden kneeling pad at the dollar store and cut pieces 1/2"x1/2" -- they work great too.
