Magic Pins have silicone heads . They come in flat heads too. They are easy to grip and heat does not harm them. They have been on the market for a few years and most quilt shops have them.
I have the Dritz super fine pins that have the rubber heads that you can sew over and iron over. But they do bend easily and that drives me crazy. Need to buy something else to use.
