Looks good....I don't think any thing works for everyone,to keep center flat. I'll do what I can but might have to call mine Bumpy Pins...:)

I am interested to see the answer to this. My first reaction was that it's a matter of preference. But then I started to think, someone more creative than I could probably make a design in a design by the placement and color of the pinwheels.

Usually the darkest/brighest part of the half square triangles are in a certain order.My tip is, make one block that you know is the way you want yours to go & pin it where you can see it. Check before sewing halves together. Easier than having to rip it out.

For my quilt they need to go all in the same direction.
I'll probably go with the red and white block pattern.
I remember on the Missouri quilt co you tube video she mentioned placing them where they should be before you sew so you don't get mixed up.
Added: that is opposite from the about.com page! Oh, well, my quilt, my rules! :-D
