Okay, so I just tried this method. It is definitely faster than my other way. They are still not PERFECT, but better than when I pressed seams open. I don't know who is going to put their nose 12" from the center of each pinwheel while looking at it, so I am not too concerned. I have 10 more to do of my 42 large pinwheels. I am going to make some small ones for a QFK too.

I was so inspired after signing up yesterday, I finished 50 pinwheels. Don't have them stitched together, but it isn't going to make a very big anything since they are all 4.5" square.

Gran: I found if I starch the blocks it helps keep those seams on the bias from stretching out of shape. This really is very fast. I couldn't believe how quickly it went.

Is Best Press okay to use for this? I don't like starch (bad childhood memories) but this stuff doesn't seem to do too much. Maybe it works but I just don't understand as it isn't stiff.

Wow! 42 done in 4 days!
50 done in one day!
To average one a day you both need to wait 42 or 50 days before you begin again!
We may have to find some harder pinwheels for you both.
How about that elephant pinwheel? I bet you won't have so many of those done!
Does anyone have just 4 done?
Not me!
It's hard to stop when you get a little free time.
Mine do seem to get better as I go so that's a help.

Sure. Spray before you cut, after you get the quarter squares together and when you are done! Do you think your bias edges are stretching? If not I wouldn't worry about it. I think the quality of the fabric has something to do with stretching also.

I have nine done now. Because I work full time and some evenings are just too busy I figure I will try to stay one week ahead.

Na Na Na Na Na!!!! Mine are all done! I still have a few to press the final seam open. Then I'll lay them on my bedroom floor and take a pic.

I'm not crazy about the elephant pinwheel. But since I only had to make 42 because mine are 12.5" I will make some small ones to put in my Quilts for Kids. Don't worry I won't be staying ahead. My next couple weeks are busy so I figure I had better get ahead now.
