Pinwheels - Seam lump at center
Hi everyone,
Quick question on pinwheels. Is there any way to avoid the big lump of seams at the center? Grading, or...??? I may send this to a quilter when I finish the top, so I would like it to be as precise as possible.
Thanks!
Ally

Pinwheels and 8 point stars can be tricky to get a nice flat center. This is the one spot where I usually try to get my seams rotating in one direction on each half(opposite ways) and I press my center seam open. I will also sometimes remove a few of the stitches in the seam allowances if necessary.
