What I use is the rolls of 'Season's Cover' by the Putnam Company (and Made in the USA!)sold at Hobby Lobby stores in the Christmas section. It is probably used for snow decorating crafts. I wait until their clearance sales and I have loaded up on the 36" x 7 ft rolls for $.99 each. Comes in small rolls and I keep it stored in the original plastic bag. Can easily 'stuff' the 16" rolls in small spaces in my storage closet. This washes up very nicely. I started using it several years ago only because I had some on hand from my Christmas Village display and needed something in a hurry for place mat gifts. I like the price and the convenience of storage. I also use this for wall hangings. Walmart sells something similar in their fabric dept.
