Sew Happy you like the program idea. I hope your guild enjoys the fun! I will be doing the demo on a chapstick/lipstick holder I posted about here:

Someone made these in my Quilt Guild and sold them at our Quilt Show. I bought them for my grand daughter to clip to their school backpacks. When can we find the patttern?

The best Christmas in July programs my guild has are all make and take. We have at least five projects to make and free patterns for each. We always have at least two new projects and three Oldie but Goody ones like the ten minute table runner, heart pincushion, folded coasters, Christmas Tree napkins, self binding place mats, casserole carrier, burrito pillowcases, Mobius scarf, and one yard lined hidden seam gift bags. This year we are doing the three corner pillows and the no hassle bibs by Ron Appell as our new projects. Also show the Fat Quarter Bag (free pattern) by M'Liss Hawley. It keeps a committee busy all year to find the new projects or design some.

My chapstick demo board
Here is one demo we had at Christmas in July program! Everyone received a kit to make 1 at home. A prize was drawn as each group came to the demo...the prize was a finished chapstick cozy with the chap stick included!
