Option A. Then I would either cut several to include in other places on the quilt or put a large Appliqued Dinosaur over the two odd blocks. I have used applique before to cover up stuff and people just assume it's part of the pattern. One time I appliqued a pretty fussy cut rose and people raved more on the rose than on the block (it was a quilted pillow).

pick a different but similar fabric and make it one of those 'make do' quilts or

Sew the two short pieces together to make one block the correct size and make the last block a signing block.

I'd say b also. DO add similar fabric if needed. Perhaps put the two pieces can be put in opposite corners, and be a creative choice!

How old is your grandson? If he's under 8, I would just stitch the shorter rectangles together and not be too worried about it being noticeable. He won't care; he'll just see dinosaurs!

Good idea!!!!!!!! I have also done this and it is not noticible when quilted. Besides that it is for a BOY and he will not notice! He will just LOVE that Grandma made it!!!!!

Why not pick an additional print in complimentary colors and replace several of the pieces, not just 2. Blend them in, and make them part of the design....a planned accident!

I like linda8450's solution. Of course it would help to see what the pattern is. Please post when you get the top finished so we can see how it turned out.
