Thanks Tartan. I have only tied one quilt, crib size. Maybe time to do another tie quilt.

Shadoh, I've never hear this about poly batting.

I use poly because I like the warmth without the weight. I'm thinking of trying some wool--if I ever get a project for which I have a say. Just saying--I mostly quilt for others and/or charity.

Thanks for the thread.. I use poly because it washes up nice and I like the puffiness.. and it cost a lot less then the cotton batting..So for me i use it unless someone asks for cotton..Most of my quilts are give aways so this is what I can afford..
