The problem in the UK is that usually we have a distance to walk with sewing machines and notions and fabric. I think I have more when I go sewing classes than when I Went to work conferences.
Recently having been subjected to mes of incapacity ave had to be careful what I carry. I had an African basket which was a bit too argue to Carry. Other quilters thought my basket was a laugh and untidy but I always had what ever anyone wanted . Just lately I am borrowing.

My brother has a really nifty container for his tools, the bottom part would easily hold a sewing machine and there are plenty of storage places, I am going to treat myself to one.

For mobility and containment ... a rolling suitcase can hold your sewing machine and all that you might need to take and scoots around pretty slick!!
