My DH just completed building me a portable storage cabinet for some of my threads. I thought I would share with you.

Each side is 14" wide and 30" high
It is constructed using 1 1/2" x 3/4" boards the shelving units are the same, and the posts are
1/4" dowling and they sit 1 3/4" above their shelf - each of the shelves are 3" apart from the shelf above and below.
The backing is made from cabinet back boards. He also put a soft handle on the top for easy carrying. It has two hinges so it folds in half. All the shelves tilt to put on the thread and easy to take them off as well.

Needs fastener still to keep it closed - going looking for that tomorrow.

We travel a lot in our RV, so I can store it in the closet while travelling.

    Thanks for looking.

What a clever, practical gift. He was really using his head on this one, and it should be an add in to all RVs.

these were actually made at the turn of the last century. Made to sit beside a ladies chair. I have seen some very nice antique ones.
how did he make so that the bars tilt?

    Needs some BLING now..ehhehe
