I like the new format. With the changes, it will take me a while to get comfortable again but learning is a good thing.
Thanks.

Change is the spice of life. Imagine how boring if everything (and everybody) stayed the same all the time? Blech.

I'm really enjoying the new Board. I've found everything I used to use, and some very cool upgrades to what I used to use. Great! Now I'll be here even more!! lol

Yooper we were warned Patrice started a thread marked **announcement** it was up for a while before the changes happened and the background is being sorted, but it has been toned down and the font enlarged already.

Some good positive comments on here thank you as the negativity on some threads without even trying it or listening to the help they are offered is getting me down now.

Yikes, I do not like change and I'm really challenged when it comes to computer stuff. I'll muttle my way through and I appreciate the time/effort the board care takers have put into this.

My son (computer genius) said this is how things are today. It's difficult to use because the former board was just so easy. We need "new board 101". I hope someone works up a cheat sheet and posts it somewhere where it is easy to find.

I loved Patrice's first little instruction sheet for the things to look for. I printed it out so I could remember how to access those, but I'm finding there are alot more that I would like to find.
Go out to the home page, scroll down the list of forums (sections) and at the bottom you will see a new forum called QB Help Center. Try that.

I like change and find that learning new things keeps my mind sharp. Thanks to the admin who labored over this board and are intent on improving it. Sad that so many are leaving before giving it a chance!

You do have to make changes. Go to settingings, top right, then general settings, left column near middle. Then scroll down to---change from basic to Enhanced Interface --Save changes

<label>Message Editor Interface:</label>
  • <label for="rb_vbcode2"><input id="rb_vbcode2" tabIndex="1" name="showvbcode" value="2" type="radio"> Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing</label>
  • <label for="rb_vbcode0"><input id="rb_vbcode0" tabIndex="1" name="showvbcode" value="0" type="radio"> Basic Editor - A simple text box</label>
  • <label for="rb_vbcode1"><input id="rb_vbcode1" tabIndex="1" name="showvbcode" value="1" type="radio"> Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls</label>
When posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.
