Hi
Just a heads up. I needed two quick quilts for newborn twin boys. I found cute fabric with cars, trucks & trains on it. I purchased 3 yards, so I would have extra for matching bibs. When I began to measure and cut - to my surprise....the backing fabric had been serged wrong side to wrong side leaving the sergededges on the back side of the pre-quilted fabric...glad I purchased extra as I wa able to cut from both ends leaving the yucky seam to scrap.. no fabric for bibs. So be sure to check the back of any pre-quilted you purchase.

it's not just the pre-quilted fabric where you can find this- i have purchased yards of fabric from joannes that part way through will have a serged seam-1/2" wide---really screws things up when you are trying to cut long pieces-
one of the many reasons i avoid that store- but that's not totally fair---i've found it at other places too-
even the lqs---the big difference with what was at the lqs- when they opened the yardage and started measuring they came to that seam- cut the fabric off just past it=tossed that piece aside and then cut me a continuous piece---
joannes will do that too- IF you catch it and tell them to- but they won't do it voluntarily (at least not here)when i have caught that and asked them to not give me that ruined piece of yardage they do it very grudgingly
