Little did I know when I started this post just how much interest there would be. I guess I am not the only one that didn't like the results I got when I joined a piece of binding the traditional way.

Just goes to show you, quilters know a good tool when they find one that fills a need they have!

Craftybear, You are welcome. You are sooooo right! I have learned so much from everyone on the board. Little hints that make my finished product better quality and little tips that make the quilting process so much more enjoyable. It also helps to hear that others have the same processes that cause them to tear out their hair. ;-) Without you all, I probably would be bald by now!!! 8-)

yes, when we can learn new techniques, tips etc from others sure makes quilting fun!

I know that not everyone has a problem with their binding, but I sure did!

Me too Nursie, I actually know how to do it without the binding tool, but each time it was such a struggle. This sure makes it easier. Sometimes I would just give up to a straight cut and turn under. But always had a little lump where the two ends joined, not anymore.

I use this method to do continuous binding like this:

Works every time and it works for absolutely any width of binding and even more of a plus, I don't have to start and stop the binding at any specific distance apart because I tend to overshoot my marks. :) I hope that helps someone. The tool is great, but this method has worked for me for a while. :)
