Well I finally got around to putting binding on a lap quilt and got a chance to use this little tool for the first time. It works great. Worth every penny.

I really want that, but I'm having to watch my pennies right now. But I did find this video, and it really, really works. I'm going to do all my bindings like this from now on. Essentially it's the same thing without the tool.

I learned the fold, cut, cut, sew, cut method for doing the joinings. I don't have a problem any more, except sometimes I sew the beginning and ending sides too close together, and then I have to struggle with the joining. But it works without a tool. Maybe I'll put on a tutorial for it. It's really easy.

After reading the posts here I bought the tool from Missouri Star and I love it. I've always done bindings without a tool but this made it much faster for me. No guessing anymore.

Well, as great as the tool looks, I've been doing my bindings using the method in the tutorial posted by Kitsie (http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-51632-1.htm) and I have to say it works perfectly every time. No tool necessary!
