I doesn't have to be blue. They come in all colors. Google pool noodle. |
Great idea, thanks. I love your sewing table. What kind is it?
I agree with Grandma Bonnie - you were really using your noodle. Talk about thinking "outside" the box. Way to go.
LOL, another "DUH!" moment, why didn't I think of that!! Good Job!!
Wow! That is a brilliant idea!
Dang! I have a noodle. Never thought of that for behind the machine. I use them in the winter for draft dodgers! Thanks for sharing!

Great idea and congratulations on such a neat sewing area! Mine usually has 3 UFO's and at least one cat on it!

Cover it with fabric and call it a big pin cushion
Thanks so much for this great idea that I plan to use.
I have plenty of these - thanks for the idea!!!!!!!!
Great idea! And from another Sheri in Texas!! :))
Lol! "Necessity is the mother of invention". That's using your noodle.
GREAT IDEA - and inexpensive too!
I need to do that, outstanding idea!
Wow! Thanks for all of the wonderful comments (blush, blush) and additional ideas.
Bellaboo, it never occured to me to use between the matress and headboard. I'm deffinately going to use that idea! Mjsylvstr, I am working on a Judy Neimeyer pattern, Japanese fan (http://www.quiltworx.com/patterns/japanese-fan/) a very ambitious project for me. I expect it will take a year to complete at the rate I work. :o The fabric is from Moda's Over the Rainbow batik line. Quiltngolfer, the sewing cabinet is a Koala cabinet which is perfect for my needs since I have to share "my sewing room" with a dining table. Twice a year I close up my cabinet (hide my sewing) and let my family in for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. :D Thanks again! I love the quilting board! |
You are extra smart, Karen.

Very clever, I have the same table and was experiencing this same problem. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for posting your tip. I recently placed a sewing machine with a shorter bed than the opening in the cabinet. It worked very well as a quick solution to fill in the gap.
I love it when inexpensive fixes are found.
Judy Neimeyer pattern? I just bought the same one. Getting ready to start it. Can't wait. |
Also if you have puppies/kittens a noodle around your power cords will save you much pain. (Ask me how I know).
Enjoyed reading all the good noodle tips. Thanks for posting.
Hey, wow! Thanks for tip. Think I will give it a try...
