How big do you think the block is?

I have that pattern and it was published by Shelly Swanland in 2004. It's still on my bucket list but I'm glad to see it on here, maybe it will be scooted up to the top of the list! I too, have a lot of Fairy Frost fabric that would look so good in that pattern.

The finished block looks to be about 6", could be 6.5", judging by the cutting mat under the blocks. Start with 5 4" blocks and see if you like that , if not you can go larger or smaller.

Are the side pieces actually curved or is that optical illusion?

Love that quilt, it needs to be on my bucket list as well. What is the name of the pattern? Please : )

I made a 10 minute block and it used five 10" blocks. So figure 19 1/2" finished??? I suppose you could make it with any size block.

Is there a site to go to that shows how she got the curved edges on the block?

When you roll the edges back they automatically curve at least mine did.

I'm going to try that someday. Looks like fun.
