You can go to amazon.com and search for the ten minute quilt block or Suzanne McNeill. She also has a book 2 that just came out. I made the one like that quilt shop is offering, but I bought the book. It's a lot easier to get a variety of looks if you actually have the book. The online video is nice, but I needed the book. It's kinda tricky putting it together so you don't wind up with two fabrics alike right next to each other. Or, it was for me anyway. I seem to struggle with the easy stuff! LOL
Good luck with it and be sure to show us what you made. Oh, I almost forgot. I saw those blocks done a few weeks ago by someone who joined them using the QAYG method and I just loved everyone she did. I thought it really added to the finished quilts. |
Love this variation. THANKS

Very pretty. Let us know if you try it.

I went to that site and couldn't find the block - do you have the name?
thanks darlene |
Where can I find this block?
Thank you |
I have a tutorial for this on our own QB. Look under tutorials posted by my name and it is step by step for this! Love this block, especially when you can do a cheater cathedral windows with it!

Anyway, I was looking at a local quilt shop class list and they are teaching this block but in the sample quilt they added another of the the center pieces that you wedge between the four blocks. It looks like when you make two rows of the 10 minute block, before you sew the rows together - you add in the middle piece between the two rows as if it's another block being made. I haven't tried this but it would make for a different looking layout. You can check out Calico Station in Jacksonville, FL for the picture under classes.

I did that with a lap-size quilt I recently peiced. Didn't have any instructions so I had to figure it out myself. Will try to get my son to post a picture for me.

Very nice. Enjoy the class. And don't forget to post your project!

That is cute, but how on earth do you find their fabric to look
at. Can't seem to find it  Marilyn |
