it does look busy, however if your daughter likes it make it for her. I think she will love it.

I think it is pretty as is and I am not a gold person. Another option - how about black sashing between the blocks?
I think I would go with a narrow solid black sashing and stop border, then a wider border of a solid or blender to match one of the colors in the quilt. If your daughter likes it, that's all that matters!

i think it looks great as it is... the important thing is that she likes it

Just try some sashing and it might work. I would test out black first maybe 1.5" in finished width. Try different things and of of a sudden, you will know when you find something you like.
I'd do a black border around it. There's just enough black in there that it won't look out of place and it'll make those colors pop like mad. :D
I love the blocks, when you get them like you want them. I wouldn't sash them. It will be gorgeous.
I think it's beautiful. You might try laying it out with sashing to see if you like it better, but I love it just as it is.
Use a solid color sashing and border to create a background. (I'm thinking a bright white would look great!) That will calm the busy aspect a little and showcase the very pretty fabrics.

Disperse the gold blocks evenly and call it wonderful. I like the ten minute block. I made one using two colors and it won a ribbon at the fair. My DD claimed it for grandbaby boy.
