So did you sell some machines, or give them away? I have a bunch too and sadly are still in their cases, cuz I have no place to display them. Except for my Davis treadle which is in my living room! I have so many and when I want to use one, I have to move one my regular one to set up a vintage to use, because I'm nostalgic. LOL!

I have 28 sewing machines that my husband is restoring. (some are already done) I have one every place I step it seems. Maybe DH will get them finished and we can put some of them up for sale. I love each one of them and will not get rid of some of them. I use my old ones and prefer them over the newer ones that I have.

can you imagine all the homes this little machine has been in, all the hours of use, back in the early 1800's seems like I read or on here someone saying, in those days if someone was lucky enough to have a machine she would share with lther ladies. If that be truth, oh my to bad this little machine cannot speak. really touches my heart thinking about it. :)

That's really true. In the 1800s, most women were still sewing by hand. I'm guessing you had to be pretty prosperous to afford a sewing machine.

I have been searching for a nice working treadle. I've always wanted one. Will you have one of those for sale?

I'd grab it quick.
