Here is a pic of mine and the attachments that were in the drawer.....also a pic where electric was done. It is going to have new wiring soon. I just used it for new bedroom curtain. This machine goes really fast. I can remember when it was a treadle, my gram taught me to sew on this. She was born in 1884 and worked in a shirt factory before retiring.

OMG Henry! That looks exactly like the treadle I learned to sew on! My mom sold it *pout* I wish now I could have gotten my hands on it, but I wasn't interested in sewing then.

I have my grandmother's treadle machine in storage.. I guess I should get it out and refurbish it... I also have the attachments that were in the drawers for it. I don't think she ever quilted, but I know she stitched all of her clothes on it. Thanks for the great idea to find the serial number and get it dated.. much appreciated. :-)

Could I bother you to take a picture of the wrought iron sides of the table? I have an old Singer base in my basement that looks very similar to this one... belonged to my grandmother but the machine and table top are long gone. As soon as I saw your picture memories came flooding back!

Thanks!
Lori
