I made a 'book' of my quilting projects, what stage they were in, what was needed to finish them, etc. When I got to page 83 (each page is a different project) I decided 2014 was the year I was going to finish up some of those projects and get myself under control! Wish me luck!

Mine are the same as last year. Only 2: Use only stash fabric unless I need something to finish a quilt and finish UFOs.

I am determined to finish my younger son's quilt that I started in 2012...it's a tumbling block in batiks. I also have begun to cut fabric for my oldest son's but only into FQ pieces which Ned further cutting... If I could get these two queens done in 2014, I'd be a happy camper.

Finish at least one UFO.

1) Clean out my sewing/craft room to make room for quilting.
2) Learn how to use my serger. 3) Learn how to free motion quilt. 4) Complete some kits for myself. 5) Get a jump start on gifts for next Christmas. |
I resolve to set aside 1 day per week including all through tax season for sewing or cutting kits.

I resolve to just work on whatever appeals to me at the time and enjoy it.

My resolutions are all of the above. I have tried to finish some UFO's, but didn't succeed. I have so many plans, and not enough action. I have a lot of tops to sandwich and many in various stages of construction. I rent time on a long arm, but I want to use my dam to quilt them. I think my plans are too big and I am setting myself up for failure. I need encouragement.

In 2014, I want to use up some of the fabric that is already in my house. I also would like to finish projects that I have already started and not start a new project unless I finish something. I plan on not buying any more fabric unless it is a piece to go with a project that is in progress.

I want to stick with what i have started. I have read that so many have 4-5 projects going, that would drive me nuts. So to prevent this, i will stick with what i have started. Yes i do have a "wish list", but it is for me and my collection of quilts im making for someday family to enjoy and remember me by. To be able to continue learning the world of quilting. I have other projects to make such as candle making also and come spring =gardening etc., so i will try to stay organized and continue to learn different techniques to make my quilting world a better place to be.
