Yes i have a7year old UFO. I did a quilt as you go log cabin. And for the love of me I can't fivure how to put the blocks togethe I have 68 blocks. Can someone help please.

think of each block as a BIG half-square triangle (BHST). look for a block patter you like and use your BHSTs to make BIG "Blocks".

many people will use them to make a star in the center, then one or more frames around the star until all the blocks are used up.

:lol: Thats exactly WHY I've never done a quilt as you go! I don't know what the next step is!! It will look great when you figure it out though! My neighbor says she does this though.....want her addy? :lol: :lol:

Hopefully, the quilting left a seam allowance. If not, you can add sashings or unsew. I learned the old Georgia Bonesteel way of lap quilting - I'm sure there are others


flip top and back over and trim batting
sew front seams together
pat batting back in place, and sew the back seam by hand.
