I have made charm quilts with the colors running in diagonal lines. Maybe she really liked the pink corner squares but did not have enough for a whole row. Any way its a wonderful bargain! have fun! diane c

What a deal I would take it all apart and find a pattern I like and adapt it to the number of squares you have good luck.

Please post a pic of the final result! Maybe the larger squares are for a border, or maybe they were simply cut incorrectly and you could cut them down to 3".

I think it might be one block of an Irish Chain. That usually has one block with a distinct diaganol and the other block has larger plain area with a cuople of more small squares as in the larger pieced one. Just look up Irish Chain and you will find single, double, triple, etc. it makes a nice, easy and fairly quick top.

Hi, i made one with double knit like that didnt have a pattern at all just did it cause i wanted it that way she was using up scrapes

I've seen the pattern - and very recently. But I can't remember the name. Maybe it will come to me.

It looks to be identical blocks set diagonally. You could continue on the diagonal until all the blocks are used or you could end it and start again with the blocks going on the opposite diagonal. Just a thought. I have no idea what the pattern is called.
