That's a great price. Good job hunting for the bargain!

Krystyna 04-05-2012 11:16 AM

That seems to be the standard sale price at several sites. However SewforLess had some die sets on sale for $19.99 and that seemed pretty terrific.

I love mine more each time I use it!

I just love it. I had to restrain myself from chopping up too much fabric without a plan, but I couldn't resist a turn or two. This is going to be wonderful!

Enjoy Krystyna! Be sure to register/sign up with Accuquilt.com...lots of free patterns to download, daily deals and they have online exclusive dies available on their website. Love the idea another member posted about piecing scraps together and then using the accuquilt GO to cut them out and make crazy quilt blocks ready for decorative stitching and embellishments. A girlfriend of mine pieced a variety of green strips of fabric together and then used her GO to cut out trees for a row quilt we are making ...really nice!

I recently purchased the reg size accuquilt Go when they were having a sale, I got the kit. I really like it. I am not able to afford to buy lots of dies at once but as a treat I will get them on amazon or ebay and many times a pattern will come with the die that is really neat. I just recieved the big size tumbler die in mail an want to make a scrappy with that and the apple core die looks really neat. I havnet got any applique yet. But yeah i really like mine! You do have to buy more mats eventually because they wear out but i find mine on ebay for less than 10$ a piece and free shipping.

Moedeenie, thanks for reminding me to register my new baby! Off I go!

krabadan 04-10-2012 11:39 AM

I love it too.

Krystyna 04-10-2012 01:13 PM

But why oh why did I order it just as gardening season is upon us? *sigh*

krysti 04-10-2012 02:16 PM

Krystyna, glad you got one and glad you're liking it so far! I have the Go Baby; hubby got it for me for Valentine's Day and I love it! Very easy to set up, doesn't waste much fabric; can cut accurately without the pain in my neck/shoulders/hands. Also love the fact that we paid half price than it is normally. You do find pretty good deals on the dies on ebay at times, and Joann often has sales where all AccuGo products and accessories are 25% off. Have fun!!!

Moedeenie 04-13-2012 03:22 AM

I just received my Joann's Flyer and the Accuquilt GO cutting accessories (Dies and Mats) are on sale for 25% off from April 15 - May 5th... :)

Thanks for the heads up, Maureen! I'll have to do a little comparison shopping.

I have an accuquilt go, used it once and put it away. I have arthritis in the rotor cuff, and cranking the wheel was painful. Also spending lots of time to get the fabric just so and cutting into the mats drove me nuts. I usually do hst, rather than cut lots of triangles, and my squares with the go were wonky - I don't do applique with a repetitive design, I am more of a traditional piecer. Determine what type of quilter you are, and also look at the Alto's Quilt Cut. I hope to get one soon. I can make accurate strips and the rotary cutter isn't as painful for my rotor cuff.
