If so is it worth it to buy one?

If you intend to do a bit of paper piecing and you want to be super accurate while creating with ease, purhase the Add-a-Quarter ruler - both the 6" and the 12". I use it and the Add-an-Eighth every single time I paper piece. I took a class from Carol Doak (the Queen of Paper Piecing) and she uses it exclusively.

Of course, you could use a regular ruler that has a 1/4" marking, but the Add-a-Quarter is soooooooooooo much easier - especially if you place a postal card or piece of cardboard against the fabric to give yourself a nice straight line to cut. Belles

I have one. It's fantastic for foundation piecing, particularly if you only rough-cut the shapes.
