Is there really such thing as over-board?

Both! It's hard to resist beautiful fabric, especially if I have a project in mind. (And, like someone else said, I tend to intentionally over buy.) It's also hard to resist clearance priced fabric, even if I don't have project in mind! Then, when I'm ready to start a project, I can go "shopping" through my stash. Since I mooch space in my Sis-in-law's sewing room, we help each other out if one of us has the perfect fabric for the other's project. Ahh.... I love all of it! Now I want to go down to look and touch it all. :)

In the past I would purchase a couple of yards of whatever caught my eye. I'm working on getting "well," but not having much luck with that. Every time I receive my Hancocks of Paducah catalog I have a relapse...LOL!

Oh, your supposed to go through it before you start another project?!?lol That explains a lot of it. It depends on how I'm feeling. If I feel like digging through it then yes, otherwise, it's more fun to go buy more. My friend said she had the fabric, she could see it, but it was on the bottom of the pile and she didn't want to mess up the rest of the fabric so she just bought more. Had to laugh!!!

just watch out for cameras and people stopping you to ask you questions. there are a few cleaning and hording shows out there that don't understand having a fabric stash and stuff.

Even with a relatively extensive stash, there's always that 'one more' you need to finish whatever project it is. And then there's the fabric that just screams your name when you walk by, and...
