Painiacs, if your weird so am I. I used to get bags of offcuts from a local leotard manufacturer and made clothes for 11 1/2" fashion dolls. I would empty the bag on my sitting room floor and almost swim through the fabrics oohhhing and aahhhing.

Not weird at all. I keep a basket next to my machines and when they get full of thread and scraps, I make pillowcases and then stuff them and sew them up. The Habitat for Animals loves them. You can wash them too. Great idea.

Not weird at all. I would be excited too

No, you're not weird! I don't make pet beds but I love scraps too.

You are not weird at all. You are putting those scraps to good use. Better than throwing them away.

Not weird at all...we saved the lint & used dryer sheets from the laundry to use in the pet beds. Why not? Its mostly Dog Hair anyway! =D Just sewed it up in a pillow and made a removable cover for it...If I need to later we'll cut a slit and put more lint in. There is always an abundance...and you'd really be surprised how much piles up...quickly.

Thanks for the comments. Never thought to add dryer sheets and lint with it cool!!!

Hope you stay exicted!

How are you making yours? Do you have a pattern picked out?

I need dog beds too. We're getting a new couch soon and there will be no more doggie naps on the couch.

Our guys prefer a bed with a slight fabric wall to it. When my DD brings her doggies's beds over, Fiona loves the edge to curl up against.

Don't leave scraps for birds. It can kill them and especially the babies. I just throw the snippets out. Edie
