Funny you say that, here is what I found yesterday when surfing different blogs
http://freemotionquilting.blogspot.c...ang-it-up.html Is that not an amazing way to quilt??? Johanna |
I also don't have a quilting machine and also do all hand quilting which I really like much better than done on a machine. You are right when you say it takes a lot longer to finish a quilt, but well worth it. When they are done on a machine they look like they came out of a factory where hand done is quality at it's best.

Don't have one either. Do my best with my Brother! It's not always easy and I end up ripping out stitches, but it gets the job done.
Wish I had something with more room when I try to squish my quilt in so I can sew. Maybe someday! |

IdahoSandy I hand quilt also but some of the work I've seen is spectacular- beauty comes in many forms :) |
You are not alone, no long arm machine here and not getting one either.

You are not alone. I don't have one either and probably couldn't do it if I did. I am not very mechinical!

I don't have a long arm, but will have one in the future. I do have a quilting frame and I use my old riccar sewing machine on it and that works for me...for now. Just cuts down on the time of quilting it.

I don't have one either!

Heavens NO - you're not the only one. Many of us do not have one & actually for some of us it is by choice.
All I've ever done is hand quilting & even if I had room for a machine, I would still choose to hand quilt. To me it is very comforting & I REALLY enjoy it. I respect & appreciate all the machine quilted works of art, but as the ole lady said "everyone to their own taste, as she kissed the cow" ;-) It's just a personal choice. If that's what you'd like to do, I hope someday you are in a position to have one. Have a blessed day & may all your quilts be filled w/love. |
