I don't love it, but don't hate it either....just a job that has to be done..
But oh that feeling when it's finished....and worked out good!!!!!  |
I have always enjoyed binding by hand sewing. I can do it in front of the TV and it is relaxing and I think that it is because the quilt will be finished when done.

I, too, am strange in that I truly enjoy putting on the binding. (I'm strange in many other ways, too, I'm sure.) Each step is rewarding, but that's the final step before it's really a quilt!

Nooooo. Wanna do mine?

I like doing binding also.....it means I am almost done....

I like to bind too, but I do it strictly by machine. I do very little by hand. I made sheer curtains years ago for pay & had my fill of hand sewing.

I love to hand sew the binding on anything, quilt, tablerunner, pot holder etc. I find it so relaxing and I get a little more time with the item before it goes on its way.
I always wait to work on them when I watch TV with DH in the evening, I am not big on watching TV, so I like to make my time productive. I like your name "topper", I call myself "piecer" I have about 18 tops that need to be quilted. Working on saving up for a mid arm machine. Great topic, thanks. |
I like to do binding too!! I find the hand sewing very relaxing and when it's cold and snowy outside the quilt on my lap makes me feel like I'm snuggled up and cozy.
