Bed Bath & Beyond should honor any coupon for up to 2 years after expiration. I recently found this out and used some expired coupons. :)
I also found out recently that Chick Fil A is the same way - they honor their coupons anytime. I used one last night with a 2008 date on it and they didn't care!

the only iron I was able to get with my cupon was the Clover one for applique with the small triangle shape on the end of the iron wand.

They make me so darn mad sometimes.

We just purchased a Shark at Target and love it. Initially we looked at Rowenta, but saved $25 and bought the Shark. It does an amazing job and so far impressive.

I looked at a GE iron for $11.99 at Target that I was thinking about getting for using in my sewing room as my present one is very very old. Anyone know how GE irons hold up in the long run?

I only have the small rowenta and never put water in it but I also read about all the leaky ones so I have a B&D for my big iron (and I don't put water in it either).

I go to Wal Mart and buy a cheap iron. I tend to knock irons over and they don't last too long when you do that. You don't feel as bad about it when it is a cheap iron.

Yikes! I hope you wear steel toed boots (or have fast reflexes). I would smash my toes for sure.

Yes, that is what I understand also. I have one from about 10 years ago and I still love mine.

I use a vintage iron when I press fabric for quilting. The thing weighs at least 5 pounds and is a dry iron - no steam. I use a Shark to iron my clothes for work. My husband bought it at Lowe's for 15.00 (they still sell it for 17.00 now) 5 or 6 years ago to do a carpet repair on his job site. He used the iron one time and stuck it in a cabinet at the house. A few months later, my B&D iron bit the dust, so I grabbed the Shark to use temporarily until I could get out to buy a new Iron. It has been used every day that I worked for the last 5 years. It has been dropped, over filled, run dry, knocked off the ironing board, fallen into the trash can - you name it it has been through it. It has never leaked once. It does have the auto shut off but it heats up so fast I don't even notice it. If you want a good iron, for 17.00 it can't be beat. I know how much it is because I am going to get another one as a back up.
