I am so excited :) :)
I am part of a quilting guild here (Calgary Modern Quilt Guild) we meet every third Saturday of each month at a quilting store (Traditional Pastimes). I have become very good friends with the owner. The owner Bernadette has offered me a job at her store working Thursday evenings. I am so excited, I love working in fabric stores. My first job when I was 14 was working for Fabricland in Lethbridge, I stayed there for 2 years. :) I had so much fabric, but when I moved to Calgary I had to get rid of it all. :( So this is my chance to build up my stash again and see all the new fabrics coming into the store before anyone else does lol. I am so excited to be working there soon :) Hugs to all, and thanks for letting me share. :) |
I am excited for you. What an opportunity!

|
How wonderful. I would love to work in a fabric store. Have fun.
|
What a terrific blessing.....to love what you do and do what you love. I agree, fabric is costly so getting it cheaper any time is a deal. Ponder over everything you see at first or you will end up buying the whole store.
Enjoy your new job and I am sure the customers will welcome you with open arms. |
Congrats!
|
Oh that store looks lovely! Hope you enjoy your new job.

I work one day a week at a LQS and spend more than I make, of course, but love seeing all the fabric. Love seeing what people are making with fabrics that aren't my style as well. Enjoy yourself.
|
How fun!

Congradulations! I am so happy for you. What a great job. Will you still have time to sew after working both jobs? I am sure you will make time.

So happy for you!! Sounds perfect!

Lucky you, my job these days is mostly keeping hubby of 51 years in line, and teaching some "one on one" sewing lessons for those who want to learn the craft!
