I know I don't see it and your supposedly showing us?
I see a beautiful quilt and if your just learning, then 'applause from the paws', bc that's one purty quilt. Hold your head up and smile! ;)

You did an awesome job, especially seeing that this is one of your first quilts.

I posted a close up of the error on I think page 2 or 3. I must say I am feeling so much better about it after all the positive feedback, I think I will have no problem letting it alone. Already looking forward to the next project. R

What mistake? I've looked and looked at the picture and can't see what you're referring to. It's a beautiful quilt!

It looks great to me. That is a beautiful quilt.
As for cutting a new piece and putting it in... you might decide to do that next time just for the fact that it may be important to you to know that everything was done the way the directions said to do it.
(In my case, I would just shrug my shoulders and say..."oh, well". I do make changes "if" I think it is going to bother me to know that I didn't do it the way I believed I was suppose to do it.)

I have made mistakes on my quilts and some of them make me laugh. In making the Underground Railroad, I goofed on the flying geese block. The flying geese block (made up of 4 smaller flying geese blocks) is suppose to have each small block of flying geese point to the next small flying geese block. One of my blocks point the wrong way and my geese look like they are going to escape out of the block. I didn't notice this until I had trimmed the completed big block to 12 1/2 inches. When I spotted it, I busted out laughing...and decided that I would keep it like that because it made me laugh.

Quilting is fun...don't let the little things take away the enjoyment of making your quilts.

I have to agree with this. Your quilt is beautiful!

You did a great job at fixing it and I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure it will hold up just fine. Enjoy the quilt as we all have made some dandy mistakes on our own quilts. Also beginner or expert there is always a chance of a mistake or two. Enjoy you Quilt!!

I'm with everyone else that your quilt is beautiful and the "fixed" area is not noticeable. I would not redo it, as I think as you will have a special fondness and special memories about this quilt.

Even tho you pointed it out, I cant see it. There are so many mistakes in the things I work on, I would love to say I had just one, beginner or not. Your quilt is gorgeous and you should be very proud of it.
