Isn't it comforting to have a stash? At least, that's how I feel; maybe it's that hoarder gene trying to force itself?! Remember, though, I've been collecting these fabrics for over 15 years and, given there isn't much time to sew working full-time, fabric does tend accumulate. Even I didn't know just now much I had until I started filling this cabinet.

Oh, darn it, why am I trying to justify my stash?? I got it. I enjoy it. I'm comfortable knowing that I have it if things ever go downhill financially. _:-)_

As for the cabinet, keep your eyes open. More and more doctor's offices are going electronic. If you don't see similar cabinets in their offices, you might find one at an office recycling store. Put the word out -- you never know who might have seen one empty.

Now that the cat that use to come in my room all the time is no longer here I would love to have a cabinet like that. Right now they are all in baskets and the shelf is really make shift. I am so jealous. Enjoy

How wide are the sections? Would they hold the plastic show box size boxes? I don't have that much fabric but it might hold other supplies too. That's a great idea.

That is similiar to what I have except it is wood. I too have divided it up by color, child, and flannel. SPECTACULAR :!:
