not a fan of Kaffe Fasset fabrics, i actually love to look at his stuff, but the fabrics are just...too much ...for me; busy, mind=boggling.
i do know a number of people who do not like working with batiks;
for me it's the busy, busy. i like to come up with the design, not have the fabric be the design.

and i really have to push myself to work with most novelties.

Not a fan of the civil war or even the 1930's reproductions. Calico isn't my thing either. The 1970 style is definately out as well.

Love the batiks. Love blues and toilles.

Not a big fan of large prints, stripes or bright crazy prints. Some of the 1930's repo I don't care much for.

don't like calico a whole lot...flowers are odd for me...I either love them or hate them depending on the size and color....

I don't care for batiks either or loud modern things with shapes.

I'm the direct opposite. I can't tolerate Thimbleberries. But I'm from MN where the designer is from and we got saturated early on. But I love the batiks. Haven't met one I didn't like. I do like Robyn Pandolph's lines and anything with lots of colors. It takes all of us to make the world go 'round.

I like what goes with the pattern or project I am working on.

I love color. Brights, prints, solids. Goldtones, batiks. I would be happy to have a whole bunch of it so I could keep on quilting. I think the bright colors are just happy and joyful. The darks are nice too and if they were mixed with goldtones or whites, I think they look great.

It all works for me. I've come across some prints that are just plain ugly, but I think no matter the print or color, something good can come out of it with a little creativity.

I hate ugly, muddy colors, like yellowy-browny-green and lavender that has too much gray, and old-cheese-orange and browns that look like my lawn after the snow melts off it.

So glad I got that off my chest! :roll:

I don't like anything with a paisley print, houses and large prints of anything. I like the calico's just didn't realize it til I saw what calico was and it seems I have a lot of it. I like Batiks depending on what it looks likes. If it has a sunflower on it it's mine. I also like some of the 30's repro's. I am really not particular.
