I don't hand quilt anymore but when I did I couldn't get used to Aunt Becky (kept sliding off) so I just used the end of a teaspoon to do the same thing. It was easier for me to hang onto.

I am going to watch this too...I always wandered if these worked and how ...LOL Carrie do you have one already?

I have only made one piece with "Aunt Becky" and my Barnett's laptop hoop, but it was definitely getting easier as I got toward the end.

It was very awkward for me at first, but by the time I'd been messing with it for a few hours, I was a lot more comfortable with keeping it on my finger, and making my fingers do what I wanted them to do - as with any new hobby, they all wanted to jump in and do everyone else's job. ;)

I could see how it would eventually be much faster and easier on my hands than the usual hand-quilting and after a few more hours, I was actually having fun.

Of course, my stitches are still huge - almost utility stitches. But, that's okay, we all start where we are.

I bought one for me and my friend at Barnett's but I haven't got the rhythm of it. I don't use a hoop and I think that is the real problem.

However, this winter I am putting a quilt on my frame to quilt and I will try it then when I have tension on the quilt.

Most of the time I just put the quilt in my lap and sew.
